Sparkling Corners

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself...
~ Norman Wesley Brooks, "Let Every Day Be Christmas," 1976

While I am naturally grateful for the festivity and merriment of the past season, at this point  I welcome this passage of winding down. Am I the center or the corner of action, I don't know exactly, but it seems to me there never was a moment without nothing to do: stew to simmer, chicken to roast,.pasta to stir, coffee to make, people to talk to, places to go, plates to wash. and on and on and on. We were supposed to go out tonight even, just me and the Hubz, but I declined. There will be other nights...Tomorrow will be quiet...kids back in college...husband away...me, where I am...where I always am...

Tonight I am about to sleep...but someone wants a kiss - and a pair of partnered socks..

"Love is a place
& through this place of
love move
( with brightness of peace)
all places

Yes is a word
& through this world of
yes live
(skillfully curled)
all worlds"

  1. I just love your slides Lady Prism. I wish I knew how to do that. They are awesome. I think Christmas and it's spirit should always be as well. I wish you the best this year for you and your family. Take care and Happy New Year!
