I Cannot Stop Me

It's utterly frustrating!
I want to wake up at dawn, like always! Nothing gives such a surge of life juice like seeing sunlight blossom, breathing in the stark freshness of a birthing morning. It's so precious.

My body is ignorant. It refuses to get up preferring to sloth itself under the covers no matter how brazenly I urge it to rise, rise, rise and kiss the dawn! With ardor I sleep with the resolve of waking before five, and lo' to no avail will it follow. There is a disconnect between mind, body and heart. This won't do! One has to win out.

Next week, so it shall be. I, The Lady Prism, will haul myself out of my sweet clinging slumber of a bed to greet the morning sunrise. I want to do this. No one can stop me. Not even me.

i work. my goal on days when i don't have to rise and shine is to not see the sunrise .. :)

  2. I'm giving up walking under the sunrise a month ago because I find exercising with the video is much more productive for me..but I do miss the beauty..Now, you made me want to go out again.

  3. There are tricks you can use to conquer that which keeps you in bed.
#1 is going to bed at an easily earlier time. That is to say, if you normally go to bed at ten, head to bed around eight.
#2 Get someone you know that does rise early to come and get you up.
Hubbies are good for this (if he is an early riser, that is) Good friends have been known to do this on occasion.
#3 Know that there will be a great show for you when you rise. This almost sounds simplistic, but, it is a great truth. If you can do it once, however you did it, repeat it.
Because the sunrises are all different, and all have hidden beauty to ponder.

    Good luck!

(ps...if you tell me what time you want to get up, I will write a comment on your blog at the proper moment to help)
    d=))

  4. No one can stop you! I soooo love the early morning before the rest of the world is fully up and making a raucous noise. It's a precious in-between time, gently awakening, stillness, a place filled with the Divine. Five is too early for me, but I know you'll do it, Prism, I know it!

  6. Foam: LOL! Reminds me of the years I used to wake up so dear early to prep for class. I miss my students but waking up with frantic thoughts of what I need to do
( make breakfast, make sure boys are awake, make sure I have the right uniform, finish the unfinished lesson plan from last night, eks!).

Waking up to a surrounding as lush as yours is something I so want. Where I live, thankfully there is an abundance of plants and trees but homes are uncomfortably close together...

Sigh, now, that I no longer teach I just want to wake up to relaxingly enjoy the dawn.

  9. Secretia: Thank you! I visited your blog and am' thinking of a little nice secret I am going to post hehe!

Oh, welcome to my blog. :D

C: So harming to see you again! Love the new look of your blog. I just had to come visit you; you're such a dear! :)

Alison: After reading your comment it dawned on me that I don't have to get up insanely early everyday. Maybe it would work if I scheduled my time with "Mama-Sun." Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays, me' thinks.

Rose: It's a good thing the nights are getting longer over here and the air cooler due to the Northwest Winds that blow down my country from Siberai. It'll stay that way till January. I can opt to get up by 5: 30 to watch the sunrise. Other months usually, the sun says "oi" up and high by 5, thus the need to wake earlier. Your place is lovely.

Boneman: Missed you! I'll take your advice to heart. My hubz is an early riser, but sleeps over in a company condo most of the week. His work is a three hour drive from where we live. I want ot see that great show as much as I can. One can never tell how long one has to do.

I have s machine here for walking but nothing beats the calmness that a walk under the trees can bring! Wish we could do the walk together! :)
